Begining can be scary
This student was so excited to learn to sew. BUT… her first try, like many new sewist was scary. A sewing machine, that needle coming down learning to adjust speed with pressure on the pedal, it can be intimidating. Especially for younger student who have no driving experience.
Sewing and driving have a LOT in common. Learning to accelerate and decelerate with pressure on a pedal takes practice. Just like driving a car you have to get the feel for it. SO, it’s a lot more of an initial adjustment for student that have not had the practice with a pedal before.
But as you can see… it only took a few days of practice for her to gain confidence and manage a first project that is beyond a beginner level. She has even created her own adjusted pattern already to accommodate the specific look she wanted.
I see her going far, look out Arkansas is going to produce some designers like the past generations have failed to produce. Buckle up everyone there will be innovation in design in this generation of sewist that will put us on the map.
Keep sending in your projects. Let’s inspire one another and let the creativity soar.
