One yard Apron

This simple little apron takes just one yard of fabric. It’s a great starter project for beginners. The website does seem to have a few popups but was not hard for my kids to follow the instructions. It has a printable PDF pattern and instructions on how to assemble a printable pattern and use it. THIS ALONE is worth doing this project. MOST new patterns today for clothing especially are assembled this way. There is a learning curve to it and this tutorial explains the process well.

TO THE TUTORIAL

You will need:

  • 1 yard of 44” wide fabric (canvas, sateen, twill, or quilting cotton)

  • matching thread

  • sewing machine

  • fresh needle of appropriate size

  • cutting tools: scissors, rotary cutter, cutting mat
