Patchwork Terry Pot Holders

Cheerful, nostalgic prints, tiny florals, ginghams, and playful motifs  make even the simplest patchwork feel special. Because a pot holder is small, you can enjoy mixing prints freely without overthinking color balance. Each square becomes a tiny showcase for the fabric’s vintage charm. It’s an ideal project for using up small scraps or charm squares.

This pattern uses your SCRAPS from other projects and terry cotton for the back. They upcycled a towel. I would recommend if you want the pad to be truly heat resistant that you add a layer of insulating material as well. You will need either double fold bias tape or to cut strips from fabric (1/4 yard of a fabric is plenty) to create your Biase strip for the edges.

The necessary heat resistant material is sold in various size options on the interfacing and batting page in the store.
