Pipa Paperbag shorts
These are a GREAT starter clothing pattern once you’ve whipped up simple skirts and such. Nobody hates a comfy cute pair of shorts. Not in Arkansas anyhow. In the summer when it feels like you climbed into the devil’s butthole these will come in super handy!
THIS PROJECT USES A SERGER to finish edges. You can opt to zig zag stitch the edge but wash on delicate if you do. The fabric edge does not hold up as well in the wash when not serged.
Click the pattern image to go to the pattern itself to print it but FIRST read the instructions on pattern printing HERE. The blog post up at the top of the page here gives some other tips on printing and on figuring put how much yardage you need. in general a yard or linen will make most sizes a students would wear. But the smallest sizes may only need 1/2 that. Don’t forget to grab elastic if you don’t have any. Kinda hard to keep your britches up with out.
I am attaching a video walkthrough of this sew.
